Alive Academy

Learn how an AI-enabled company works from the inside.

A flexible, remote five-month internship programme designed for students alongside their studies, created with the AI Research Centre at Woxsen University in Hyderabad, India.

The programme

Five months of practical learning, built around study.

Alive Academy gives students a structured way to contribute remotely and flexibly while continuing university. The programme connects classroom knowledge with the working systems of an early company: finance, research, social media, operations and the use of AI tools to make work more consistent and useful.

Students gain visibility into how information moves through a company, how research becomes a product or market decision, how outreach is organized, and how teams use AI without handing over responsibility for judgment.

The balance of theory and practice was intentional: participants applied frameworks to real processes while working within strong guidelines. They followed chronological tasks, but were encouraged to be creative; the approaches that worked were integrated into Alive's internal processes.

Applied curriculum

Guided work across dashboards, research, outreach and financial strategy.

AI dashboards

Supply-chain traceability for logistics and high-risk sectors, Alive Assist testing and debugging, climate and risk dashboards with Pace alerts and Counsel triggers, and EU and global regulatory data integration aligned to CSRD, GRI, CDP and SBTi.

Research and social media

Sustainability events, hackathons, webinars and start-up expos; partnerships with communities, NGOs, university labs and responsible companies; SDG campaigns and transparent communication on sustainability and human rights.

Financial strategy

Environmental emergencies, labour risks and greenwashing using GHG Protocol, CDP and UN Guiding Principles; monitoring CSRD, EU Taxonomy, AI emissions rules and climate finance; a 2025–2028 investment plan of €1.2–3 million.

A creative ocean concept

One social media intern developed a concept for how AI could improve ocean solutions with the social media manager: a practical example of creativity becoming a visual communication experiment.

Alive values in practice

The Academy enforces these values through the way learning is designed and reviewed.

Students worked from open guidelines, documented their sources, paired AI with human judgment, shared methods across teams and translated successful experiments into internal processes. Values were not a poster at the end of the programme; they were the standard for each task, review and handover.

01

Transparency

Open methods and verifiable data at every step.

02

Innovative teamwork

AI and experts working in tandem.

03

Collaborative efforts

Built to integrate with how you already work.

04

Resource sharing

Knowledge and tools shared across the network.

What students explored

Four areas, connected by one practical learning loop.

Finance and business processes

Students explored investment planning, sustainable finance networks, budget logic and the discipline of connecting strategy to measurable commercial decisions.

Research and evidence gathering

Students practiced supply-chain and sustainability research, regulatory reading and source checking so that findings could be traced, challenged and improved.

Social media and outreach

Students explored partnerships, events, SDG campaigns and public storytelling, learning how responsible outreach can build community without overstating evidence.

Systems and AI-enabled workflows

Students tested dashboards, Alive Assist, climate and risk signals, and compliance data flows while keeping human review, accuracy and accountability in the loop.
